Wild Mushrooms With Quails Egg & Truffle Oil
This dish harks back to when The Tapas Room was just a distant glint in the eye of Donostia Social Club, operating from an old Citreon H van at street food events, and this dish was a regular favourite. You can find Truffle oil in most good supermarkets and if you'd prefer a slightly sweeter touch, then pick up some Pedro Ximenez glaze from any of The Tapas Room deli shelves. (Made with the sweetest sherry grapes, and is similar to balsamic glaze)
Negre de Folls - Vins de Pedra
2016 Red Grenache / Tempranillo / Trepat
Negre de Folls Cherry-coloured with violet tones, bright, young and lively. Highly aromatic intensity on the nose, combining raspberries and other red berries with spicy notes, hints of liquorice and black pepper. In the mouth fresh and meaty with smooth, well-integrated tannins.
Balsamic and fresh finish. Easy to drink and share, perfect to be served with light dishes.
Vins de Pedra is a small winery run by the young winemaker Marta Pedra Stone and produces high-quality wines with the denomination of origin Conca de Barbera. The wines are elaborated with different grape varieties: Parellada, Trepat, Tempranillo and Grenache. In addition, there is a wide offer of ecotourism experiences in one of the medieval towers of the Montblanc wall, the Tasting Tower.
