Masia d'Or Cava Tasting

We're excited to announce that next week we will be joined by Hamish Roberston of Moreno Wines. He will be hosting a tasting of Masia d'Or Cava at our Deptford venue on Wednesday evening. This is a complimentary event for our customers and booking a table via our website is strongly advised.
Moreno have been supplying The Tapas Room since the beginning and have always found us interesting and diverse wines to play with! And these Cavas from Masia d'Or are no exception. Here's what Hamish will be tasting with you next week:
Masia d'Or Brut Nature, Cava   NV        Penedès, Cava DO         Â
20% Xarel-lo, 35% Parrelada, 45% Macabeo       Organically Farmed            Â

Cava like you've always wanted it to taste. Brilliant apple-y flavours with lovely biscuity character                           Â
Grapes are grown in Casa Berger vineyards beneath the slopes of Montserrat in Alt Penedes. Harvested at night, mixed and chilled in dry ice, then spent 2h macerating before being fermented for 25 days. Aged for 12-14 months before release.        Â
Pale straw in colour, fruity aromas with notes of pastry and ripe white fruits. Smooth, dry and well balanced with subtle bubbles.

80% Garnacha, 20% Monastrell               Organically Farmed                     Â
Delicate, floral, strawberries, bubbles. Brilliant with sunshine.
Grapes are grown in Casa Berger vineyards beneath the slopes of Montserrat in Alt Penedes. Harvested at night, mixed and chilled in dry ice, then spent 2h macerating before being fermented for 25 days. Aged for 10-12 months before release.        Â
Garnacha imparts delicious red berry flavours, Monastrell is responsible for the beautiful colour - floral on the nose, with red apple and pear notes leading to a crisp and lively wine with signature toasty cava finish.

De-classified Reserva Cava made using the same traditional methods and grape as Champagne
Grapes are grown in Casa Berger vineyards beneath the slopes of Montserrat in Alt Penedes. Harvested at night, mixed and chilled in dry ice, then spent 2h macerating before being fermented for 25 days. Aged for 24 months on lees before release.Â
Ripe baked apple and complimentary buttered toast flavours on the palate with plenty of complexity richness and a long finish.
